I just got a comptac C-TAc for my G33. and absloultley love it. Adjustable cant, intercgangeable clips....COMFORTABLE. I know kydex isn't for everyone, but, I wear undershirts. So, they don't bother me.

My wife on the other hand, can't stand IWB. (she wears tight pants:D so she don't like to wear loose jeans).
I told her I'd look into a good High riding OWB for ccw?

Any suggestions?

I use Uncle Mike's Professional, light, inexpensive, gun rides high. You can also use this as sort of "half-IWB", at least I found a way to do it. That is, it's a belt slot type and you can run the belt OVER the holster on the outside of it and the gun to keep it real close to your body for better conceal (just make sure you practice-draw it like that so you don't interfere with gun draw by having the belt too tight).

If you like the CTAC you may want to give the Comp-Tac web site a look see. They make some good OWB holsters as well. I have used the Galco Concealable for a USP compact once with decent success. Not so successfully with a G21. I am told that one of the better OWB holsters around is the Allesi CQC/S. Have one on order for the G21 but the wait is LONG at 20 weeks. Depending on what she is intending to carry you can try Dillon as they stock Rosen Express line holsters for some guns. Same thing goes for Brownells.

The problem I have is buing sight unseen
Gun stores seem to carry "catchall" holsters.

I bought the C-tac unseen because of rave reviews.

I may have to go to a purse setup (which I don't like) to many liabilities stem from a loaded gun not on ya.

I may try a slide M-tac and see what she thinks

+1 as BruceGibson stated on KD holsters...

Talk to Cindy or Kevin. They will treat you right. I have several holsters and belts from them. Couldn't be happier with the quality of materials, service, and very reasonable prices...

My wife carries OWB in a Alessi CQC/S. She was the same way about IWB. Holsters for females is like finding a needle in a haystack. I thought I went through a lot of holsters trying to find one I liked but she definately has me beat.
Nonetheless we both now wear the Alessi and both very satisfied.

Good luck.

I've been really pleased with High Noon holsters in every regard (price, design, quality, etc.) A while back I was looking specifically for something that rode exceptionally high on the belt and yet still pulled my G-23 in close to the body. Of all the holsters I found, the High Noon topless was the best for my needs. Be sure to check them out as a consideration...
