Who likes hk lem .

I have only dry fired a few of them on various H&K P30 models. I don't really like it, it's not bad by any means, but being used to a 1911 4# smooth short trigger pull and reset, and a Walther PPQ, I am a but spoiled. I never liked factory glock triggers, and had a M&P40 from S&W that had the worst trigger I've ever felt. It was a joke, and would even rub my finger raw beside being stiff and crunchy

my wife thinks like P71pilot does--loves 1911s and walthers HATES the p 30. s I sold hers

I have one in 4" and one 5" p30 and love those lem triggers. Sure you need to get used to it BUT they eliminate the need for a safety if you carry and the accuracy of my p30 is up there with my best 1911s and the walther ppq (JMHO)

I go back and forth with LEM. I definitely prefer DA/SA... but I can see it's application as a defensive or 'street' trigger as many have called it. It reduced the manual of arms to basically the same as Glock with the ability to double-strike.

I have a P30 9mm with a "V3" DA/SA and I like this gun much the way it is.

Than I had a chance to shoot a P30S "V1" Light LEM that had the GreyGuns Reduced Reset Carry Perfection Package done to it, the long smooth takeup on the first shot & then the short reset on the follow-on shots is my choice for a really great trigger on a carry gun!

This article fairly sums up how I feel about this;

Even though their trigger work is expensive, the GreyGuns modified trigger is like night & day compared to the stock HK trigger.

^not really a fair comparison when you're talking about stock DA/SA versus a GGI tuned trigger. A lot of the same great feel could be had with the same work done to a DA/SA model.

I have owned LEM before and never warmed up to it. I don't have anything against it, I just don't feel like it has anything necessarily over DA/SA and at that point I'd rather use DA/SA as its system is more applicable to more pistols. HK spent a long time trying to convince the market that it was a good system, but in the end they finally produced a striker fired "safe action" type pistol ala Glock. If I had to choose between LEM and a Glock like trigger, I choose the latter.

Tried it on several HK's I owned and didn't like it, prefer a true DAO or, more of a similar comparison, the old S&W 3rd Gen "DAO".

I really like the shorter takeup and reset on the GGI tuned LEM trigger, I think that an HK DA/SA or LEM would be greatly improved with a shorter takeup & reset much the same as the SRT improves the Sig DA/SA. Since HK doesn't do this modification on their own guns, you have to seek out a gun tuner like GreyGuns, I don't know of anybody else that does this.

If you mean DA/SA in general, then that's your prerogative to say that. Personally, I'll take the DA trigger on my Sig M11-A1 over the DA trigger on my P30, I have no issues whatsoever with the SA trigger on the P30.

I feel that the HK LEM trigger is a very misunderstood system where it counts, at the point of sale at the LGS. The bobbed hammer identifies the HK LEM trigger but I usually end up explaining this to the guy behind the counter. I've been to one LGS in recent memory where an HK P30SKS was properly identified as a "V1" Light LEM trigger variant. Since there was already a thumb safety on this gun, HK could definitely modify this with a shorter takeup & reset, which would make it a truly great carry trigger. But we all know that HK isn't going to offer these trigger mods, so hello GGI! Personally I'd rather have a hammer fired gun over a striker fired gun for general use and purpose, although I like the striker-fired guns that I own & use often. So its all good!

I like a shorter takeup and reset too, I'm just saying a tuned LEM versus a non-tuned DA/SA is a skewed comparison. Bill Springfield also does work on HKs.

I know...

This same sentence could be applied to a number of HK's pistols. There are match kits for the P series overseas, but they haven't brought them over to the states.
