i am curious to know who is hunting now? what you are hunting with rifle, shotgun, bow, pistol? what are you hunting?

the only animal in season now here in NJ is woodchuck/groundhog. you can use shotgun no larger than 10 ga. with #4 fine shot, bow and arrow, rifle muzzleloading, centerfire/rimfire. but rifle is restricted to private property basically.

We have open season on many critters...
Ringneck dove, grey squirrel, hogs, beaver, basically any non native invasive specie. I use the Gamo air rifle at the new house until I get to know the neighbors better. I guess it is officially hunting as I have to hunt the tree tops to spot one but it is more akin to shooting. I go after ring neck dove and grey squirrel primarily. Both of which succumb to the pellet out to 60 yards just fine.:D

We have open season for Russian Doves here in NW Pakistan. I have been meaning to take my Beretta Tecknys Gold out but cant seem to manage time.

There is no closed season on hogs in OK: Got three last week. Am hunting hogs with my .50 muzzleloader from stands and with my .223 on the ground. Because of the high temperatures here it is necessary to get the hog on ice within 2-3 hours or the meat will spoil.

Deer, squirrel, piggies, anything else edible that moves..

I use a SIG SHR-970 in 30-06,
a Remington 870 Super mag,
a Parker Bow (carbon arrows with 100gr 3blade muzzies on the end),
a 10/22,
a marlin 880 ss 22lr,
ruger MarkIII,
Ruger SBH,
Ruger 77/50 all weather 50cal,
Winchester Model 88 in 358win,
Marlin 336,
gonna use one of my AR-15's Whichever one shoots more accurate with my special "neck shot only 65gr deer killers"

Oh yeah, I hunt feral dogs and yotes too. Shoot on sight as they are not allowed on my lease..

As far as what I am hunting RIGHT NOW......nothing.....gas costs too much to search for piggies that rarely come around my spot.

I am quietly stalking all area pawn shops and gun stores looking for the elusive 250 savage and 7x57. I also try to harvest one or two accessories on each scouting trip to Wal-Mart. I find the "boss" much less likely to suspect me of purchasing hunting gear this time of the year....blends right in with the other stuff I'm there for anyway.
