I have one. It is a very good GI type pistol. No improvements, just GI all of the way. My has a six pound trigger, about like old guns. But the thing is well put together, and not a Charles Daly. Made by Twin Pines, in phill.
I thought it would make an excellent beginning for a custom gun, but after using it for a few weeks I realized here is one of the few examples of what a GI 1911 is supposed to be. The thing is well fitted, with some care in assembly. I'm not deep into it yet, but it feels and looks better than Auto Ord., Charles Daly, and Llama.
For a hardball gun for personal defense I would say go for it. It does feed Remington JHP also. With a good trigger and just a little better sights (Kings no gunsmtihing)this would be a very good but inexpensive gun. Grips are wood and pretty nice.
