I joked a while back that Indian tribes that popularized smoking among Europeans should be the targets of lawsuits, rather than the current producers. Go to the root of the problem

Seems that some (not the same) Indian tribes decided to go for a preemptive strike. I wonder what actual Indians think about such tricks on the part of "their leaders"...

Interesting when you consider that tobacco is also one of their sacraments and a key part in all the ceremonies.

My tobacco base was cut almost 20% this year from last year. The base is the legal limit you can have for sale. I think my property isn't worth as much without the tobacco base, but my state hasn't cut the property tax yet. I don't care for cigarettes, but a good cigar or pipe tobacco can't be beat...
