Who else added a Tech Sight: AK, SKS, or other?

For those who have, what are your impressions?

Despite my Enfields, FR8s, Garand, it is quite a change, and a now a different gun.
At 30-50 yards, this rifle is just as fun as anything else. But I've not yet tried it further out, whether shooting at small plastic bottles or Shoot-N-See targets.

I put a Tech Sight on a Ruger 10/22. It’s a world of difference for the better then the factory Ruger sights. I also have another 10/22 with a scope. At 50 yards both rifles shoot near identical group sizes, with a slight edge to the scoped rifle. That’s saying a lot because at my age, the eyes just aren’t what they used to be.

I've got a set on a Marlin 60 and a Ruger .44 mag carbine (used the 10/22 set for that one, fits perfect.)

Both are excellent for quickly getting on target, but because the aperture is a bit large, I find them a bit tougher than a standard peep to be extremely precise with.

Have a set of Tech-Sights for the AK. The replacement dust cover was too loose and caused lots of rattle. Field stripping was also more difficult. Other than that, the tech sights worked great on the range, and I even replaced the aperture with XS Sight System's same plan AR sights, and the windage knob for a finger adjustable A2 style.

I have since took the Tech-Sights off and plan to sell them. Not worth the problems associated with them IMO.

A very old picture from when I first put them on:

I have considered for a long time what I might do to improve the sights on my AK. Tech Sights was one thing I considered. Watching this post carefully.

Rangel, is the take down, and sloppy dustcover your only issues?
I might could live with that if I can hit better w/ the rifle.

I have them on my Norinco SKS and love them. The extra sight radius does wonders for accuracy. I have no problem shooting clay pigeons at 120 yards with SKS now. For $50, it's really one addition that pays great dividends in the accuracy department.

Yeah, those two things I did not like. I also had to cut part of the dust cover to clear the Galil bolt carrier I was using, but that isn't an issue with the normal bolt carrier. Not sure why they added that small protrusion, but they did.

At the bench, it was nice having those small peeps sights and longer sight radius.

I have it on a 10/22 and an SKS. Friend has it on 10/22. Both happy with them.
THe thing I will say is that the adjustments are not exactly 1/2MOA or whatever and the adjustment per click varies a little bit. THye are up front about this deficiency on their sight and basically say getting the parts that would be perfect would double the cost of the sites and what they use is off the shelf and works well enough. It works well enough for 10/22 training and on an SKS you probably won't notice.
