Did you try to set the mechanism yourself? the screws are there and the manuals usually show how to adjust it. I never did because my 527M set trigger was perfect right from the get go. if you want to try it yourself, and want some expert advice, call 1-800-855-4486 and press for gunsmith OR parts - they should be able to help out.
No Armoredman. I have not attempted it. I am reluctant to remove the action from the stock due to concerns about shifting the bedding. The rifle shoots so very well, other than a little creep on the standard, non set, trigger. I am a big fan of these rifles, and do not think anything I have shouldered made in America in the last 70 years even comes close. My grand dad's Model 54 Winchester is a super rifle, with its "nickel steel" barrel. But this CZ550 in every way is superior.
I shall endeavor to remove the action from the stock and, utilizing the link posted above, get this set up the way I want.
As far as Angus Hobdell, I contacted him maybe 2005 or 6 about work I wanted done to my IPSC pistol, and found that interaction less than satisfactory, and would be reluctant to spend my money with him. Thanks though for the lead.
