Here are some pics of an IWB holster I have for my Colt Commander. It was given to me by my brother in 1998, who before was given to him by a friend...anyway, no one knows who made it.
It appears to be horsehide, with the rough side out on the holster. It is wet molded to the commander .45 cocked and locked. The offset belt loop is interchangeable between the two sizes. The rim of the holster's mouth has a metal insert which keeps it rigid. The matching mag holder is smooth side out. The only markings on it are on the back of the holster with what appears to be a 'C' stamped in it, and the mag pouch has '45' stamped in it.
This sucker is indestructible! You're looking at +10 years of regular use carrying my Commander- summer sweat and all.
I would love to find out who made this holster and get another for my Officers and my Government.
Does anyone recognize the work?
