Who Are The Anti-Gun?

Some time ago on another gun board, this topic came up. I remember that McDonalds and Levi-Strauss were amoung anit-gun businesses, and Sylvester Stallone and Sharon Stone were actors who gave to the anti-gun movement. I find it really interesting that Sly made most all of his money shooting up the hillsides in foreign countries, sporting M-60's and a plethora of other explosive devices.

Do you know who supports the anti-gun movement? Does it matter to you to the point that you won't patronize the businesses or see movies whose stars are left of center?
 
Yes, isn't it amazing that many of the people who are anti-gun made much of their living making movies in which they had a gun in their hand? What fricking hypocrites! It's also amazing that these same celebrities are considered "authorities" when it comes to this issue. I heard someplace that Julia Roberts was asked to testify in a courtcase involving a toxic waste issue-simply because she played the lead role in "Erin Brockovich"! It's ridiculous.:mad:
 
i don't care who's who or what's what. My sister is VERY antigun, but she knows not to try and push it off on me. I do what I do, and they do what they do. Its called life.

Have you heard the saying "All it take for evil to prevail is for the righteous to say nothing?" Morality aside, we have to care, and at least support those who are willing to work to uphold our gun rights.

Anti-gunners come in many different forms. The smallest group is the subversives who actually have an agenda to disarm the general population. There are many others who, altruistically and (naively) believe that the world would be a happier, safer place if everybody would just turn in their guns. They believe that you only need the police to protect you (they must think we have an awful lot of LEOs!).

IMNSHO, the largest group is the blind followers. They are the morons who get their political, social, and moral guidance from people they see in movies, magazines, and on television. If Oprah Winfrey announced tomorrow that she was no longer using toilet paper, it would not be safe to shake hands with half the population of this country! Blind followers can't seem to understand that the 2-cent opinions of their misguided idols should not be given the same value as their multi-million dollar box office draws.

Happily, though they often regurgitate what they have been fed, blind followers don't usually bother to vote, and most thinking people on either side of the debate consider them rather stupid. But the subversives continually try to get this group moving. Remember the Million Mom March? Live Aid? Search that one out and you'll discover that that was the worst thing that ever happened to starving African peoples!

The final group is the "It does not affect me" group. They don't know much of anything about guns and don't see a need for them. Most of them tend to lean towards the 'only the police need guns' mindset. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WE CAN AND SHOULD REACH. They simply have not had anybody sit down with them to rationally discuss gun control and how it impacts them.

The fight for the control of your guns never stops. There needs to be a continual, active effort to preserve that right, and they need our help. Because there is certainly a continual effort by those who want to remove that right from you.
 
Anti gun businesses

Our votes may not count for much anymore, but our dollars do.. Dont buy from companies that dont uphold your values!! This is the ONLY way we have a voice! Walmart may be pro gun, but thier anti human/ pro consumer...

It is my understanding that mr stalone fled to one of the european countries, I think maybe switzerland, to avoid the draft during the Viet Nam war, where he taught danceing. That is why I refuse to watch any of his movies and despise him to this day.
With out looking at the list does it list Arnold Swartzneger(sp?), the gov of CA? Didn;t he back a couple of years ago ;approve a gun ban in ca?
 
seems like alot of the hollywierd types are anti-gun but i suspect they are with most of the richest people in america in that they beleive they should be able to own guns but us lowly peons have no reason to..... frikkin pinheads!!!!!!:mad: :mad: :mad:

I remember new stories of "Hanoi Jane" Fonda having a break-in at her home years ago. One of the things stolen was a handgun. Rosie O'Donnel made the news a while back with a story about her children's bodyguard carrying a handgun in NY.

Neither of these people think you and I are important enough to own a gun, but they see the need for themselves. What a twisted bit of logic that is!
 
Those who can do, those who can't teach - or is it preach. Take a woman to the range we deed more 'Susan - grandmother of 6 and keen pistol shooter' kind of stories in local papers. I've been trying to do this for years.
Women are half the population and our friends. The 'RAMBO' tag doesn't fit granny at a bake off. Get em to the range, we need em BAD!

The White Elephant in Spokane Washington!

This is a gunstore believe it or not. I was on vacation and stopped in there last time I was in Wa. state. So I ask the guy behind the gun counter do you have anything chambered in 7.62x39 he gives me a sideways look and says "we don't carry those types of guns" the tone of his voice made me ask him why. He said "well they are for killing people and we have no use for those sort of guns". "We have a reputation in the community, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH." So I look down at the handgun counter full of HK's, SIG's, Glocks or whatever (I can't recall I was so mad) and said "Well then what are those for? Target practice?" He was at a loss to explain himself so I took the ooportunity to school him on the anti-guns tactics of dividing and seperating. He still didn't have a clue! And this guy made his living selling guns! Amazing how many of our own aren't.
