Hello All,
I haven't seen a picture of a Whittney Dragoon posted before, so here is mine.
Its a Uberti which I got last year.
Very comfortable grip, and to my eye, has great lines.

If anybody also has photos of theirs, lets see 'em!
Cheers

The only thing that bothers me about the Dragoons is the how heavy they are.

I do like the idea of how much powder you can put behind the ball though.

Wow.

I remember reading that you can put like 60 grains of powder...

I use about 70-80 grains in my long rifle.

A dragoon must be cannon.

OK i will have to get one.

OH, OH, OH
I want a carbine version of the Dragoon. Shoulder stock and 18 inch barrel.

Does anyone make this, If not I will make my own. I will become the sole distributor of the Dragoon repeating rifle.

Anyone want to send me 5000.00 in venture capital? I guarantee that you will be first on the list to buy one.

There are some Dragoons with shoulder stocks on the used market. They command a high price when you find them.

The Dragoons hold less powder than the Walker, the cylinder is 1/4 inch shorter. I have been loading 50grs in my Walker and 37grs in my Dragoons. Those are the colt recommended load size.

60 grains is a full chamber in a Walker. The Dragoons don't hold that much; more like 45, maybe 50 if really compressed.

pardon me. My error. I thought the dragoons and the walker held the same amount of powder.

OK

So i want a Walker with a shoulder stock and a 20 inch barrel.

I might just have to make my own shoulder stock and have a barrel made for it.

Seems like it would be very very cool.

Nice Whitney Dragoon my favored one ta boot. I may have one someday but till then I have a 1st Model Colt Sig. Dragoon, and a Uberti Walker... I prefer the Grip and frame of the Whitney Model...
a real nice Colt Big Boy you have there.

My Colt Dragoon holds 50gr of fffg or ffg with a .457" RB and nothin' else...
