D Dave McC Staff In Memoriam Dec 7, 2000 #2 New one on me, but.... Is the shotgun brand new? Maybe some kind of preservative/lube in it needs to be removed. What does your manual say? And, is the shotgun functioning normally,even with the smoke?

G GSM Inactive Dec 7, 2000 #3 Yes it is a new gun. But I cleaned it well before I shot it. It shots very good also.
