White handgun

I saw a movie once where a BG made a white handgun with two side-by-side barrels. There was no metal in it so it would not be detectable (Would this work in reality?) He made it to assassinate somebody (the president, maybe). My question is, has anybody made a white handgun that would not show as well through a white dress shirt? I would think the army would have something like this for winter conditions.

"Line of Fire"?

Pretty much absolute fantasy at this point.

Beware the man with the S&W .357 Mag.
Chances are he knows how to use it.

Yes, "In the line of fire".. I thought that handgun was creme colored. That's the one where he smuggled bullets into the dinner in a rabbits foot key chain, right?

Why don't you get a handgun that's all stainless and buy some white grips.. They've gotta sell them somewhere. polished stainless should be light enough not to show through white, right?

The first step is registration, the second step is confiscation, the final step is subjugation.

And thats in a movie as well... "Demolition Man" shows the BG with a stainless S&W with white grips.

Anyways - not a new concept at all Ivory grips have been riding on pistols for hundreds of years now.
What is really nice is a matching white leather shoulder rig to help conceal that pistol. I have seen one - but in Kydex. While that was nice and all - the straps are still dark and the holster is Kydex.
This is interesting to me becaus I carry under shirts a lot. However - in ANY OTHER situation white leather is just plain tacky as hell.

Simon Phoenix, the BG in "Demolition Man", carried a 3913 Ladysmith, which is stainless with very light gray grips.

I really need to watch less TV. :(

The Kel-Tec P32 can be had with a white/ivory frame. I also seem to remember photos of some Alpine troops with white uniiforms and rifles. This may be a memory of a movie however. :)

White leather ? Makes me think of Cousin Eddie :D
ala Vacation movies ;)

Yes, "In the Line of Fire", John Malkewhatever made it out of high density Designer's Prototype Modeling Foam, (cream colored) harder than any wood, and has no particular grain pattern, but not harder than steel. It really wouldn't work.

But that flick was Awesome!

So are Clark Griswald's white leather shoes in National Lampoon's "Vacation"!

I stand corrected... I was very wrong to refer to the Cowboys' Cheerleaders as Tacky... I am very sorry...
If I have offended ANY of these bright, talented women - I INSIST on PERSONALLY making it up to them.

:D

John Malkovich...

Wasn't the gun in question molded out of some hi-tech plastic? (including the barrels)

I remember seeing plastic models (cars, planes...) in one scene.

I think the gun was a .38 special side by side... *shrug* Its been a long time since I saw that movie.
