George Patton would have liked the grips.

I know what Patton said about pearl......I guess I forgot to stick
a :) at the end of my post.

You know something? With those little grips, this big bore actually conceals pretty darned well.

Very nice--since you admit that the grips are NOT!:D

Actually, it is commonly observed that the grip is the hardest part of the pistol to conceal, thus all the little bitty grips being saold as concealment aids.
Tip: If the pistol recoils heavily, try the Hip Grips BEFORE you buy them!

Roger...

Is that the "4 inch" barrel model? What locks and unlocks that trigger thingie? Something like the "Taurus Key" maybe? How's the recoil? People speak highly of the model 625. I may have to get a 625 instead of a 1911. I'm tired of looking at 1911's. However, I'm going to take one more look at that new Springfield. I might have to have both! SHHhhh. Don't tell my wife! :) (Actually, she just doesn't care what I buy. A "perk" of being retired.:))

Thanks,
KR

I have a Milt Sparks PMK holster made for my 4" 625. It is amazing how well a properly designed holster hides such a large handgun. Unfortunately, nothing will make the N-Frame any lighter.

Yes, it is a four incher.

I used the trigger lock one time out of curiosity. It resembles a small "skeleton key", looks pretty generic. I'll never use it again. No need.

Recoil is noticable, but more of a push than a smack. One of the joys of a 45 acp revolver is, it will shoot anything. As long as there is enough velcocity to send the bullet downrange, it works in these guns. Full power loads are no problem either.

Roger...

Thanks for the reply. I've been thinking about a 625 for a few weeks. I like the idea of a four inch barrel. Tamara said that her 5 inch 625 had very little recoil. (I've gotta watch that while my hands heal up.) I'm with you on the "key". I just found my Taurus "keys" down on my work-bench. They have dust on them. Like you, I used them once or twice out of curiosity. My wife put one of her Taurus keys on her keyring. (She's got about a "thousand" keys on that thing! She even has my apartment key from before we were married!
I haven't had an apartment for 25 years. She says that she keeps it for "good luck". Maybe it works.)
