Which way?

I have a Zastava model 70A 9mm, made in Serbia. The front sight is bend, like a little elf shoe, to the left. I have been compensating by holding to the Right.
The front and rear sights are installed with a Dove tail design. I want to
know, looking at the front sight as you would when you shoot the pistol,
WHICH WAY TO PUSH THE FRONT SIGHT? I have thought about it and have managed to confuse myself.
Any thought or reply to this thread would be greatly appreciated.

The mnemonic for remembering sight adjustment direction is FORS which stands for: Front Opposite--Rear Same.

So, to adjust the point of impact you move the Front sight in the Opposite direction you want the point of impact on the target to move. Or you can get the same effect by moving the Rear sight in the Same direction as you want the point of impact on the target to move.

Move the front sight the opposite direction of where you want the shots to go. If it's shooting to the left and you want to move the point of impact to the right, move the front sight to the left.

It's easier to understand if you realize you are keeping the sights on the target but moving the barrel in the direction you want it to shoot.
