I've noticed a sharp jump in P-5 prices in the last year or so, and a slide in P-38 prices as surplus German police pistols come on the market. Ken Strayhorn Hillsborough NC

J James K Member In Memoriam Jan 29, 2002 #4 The P5 does not externally look like the P.38/P1 but the internal mechanism is very close and it could be described as "similar" in that respect. The second picture is a post-war gun, either a P.38 or a P1. Jim
