Which used snubnose? Which pocket holster?

Do you carry a snubnose revolver in a front pants pocket? Which revolver (used gun in the $200-$300 price range) and which pocket holster, that is highly concealable combo, do you carry?

Several years ago I tried a S&W Model 37 (empty weight was about 13 ounces). It had a spurless hammer and square grips. I didn't use a pocket holster--just dropped it in my front pants pocket. Didn't hide well so I went to a small .380 semi-auto. Maybe holster and round grips would've made a difference...

As I grow older I am thinking about changing to a snubby for civilian concealed carry. Thanks in advance.

Yes.

Smith & Wesson 042, the predecessor of the 442, in an Uncle Mike's neoprene holster.

Generally you want a gun without a hammer, or with a concealed hammer.

I have carried snubbies forever. The one I like for front pocket carry, is the little Taurus 85CH. I like the DAO, hammerless features. I use a custom holster made by Andrews Custom Leather. Does not print, it is rough side out, and stays put when you pull the gun.

I've got a snubbie pocket holster for sale. It will fit all snubbies as long as they have the scale type grips, no grips that fill in under the trigger gaurd. $12.00 shipped to your door:)

I use a 642 in a cheapo "USA Holsters" cordura nylon IWB holster that has has a spring steel belt clip that can be removed. Then it becomes a great pocket holster. The rough cordura surface is grippy on the pocket material, so clearing the gun from the holster and pocket is very quick.

I have 3 Taurus snubs the CH85 is the best for pocket carry. I bought them all for less tha $150 apiece. The C.I.A may be a better choice. It can be shot from your pocket. I've seen them advertised for $250. But if you like their logo add a hundred $ or so and get a Smith. And for what its worth Im not sure but I believe that holster is illegal if the gun can be fired from it.
