looking for a shoulder rig for my colt commander.
checked the galco "classic lite" which seems cheap at $82, also the "jackass" at $150 and the "miami classic" at $170
the colt is not my usual carry so the holster wont get alot of use
If anyone can give me some opinions on these holsters........
Also, is it practical to use a shoulder rig under a pullover shirt or sweatshirt?
thanks
tom

Check out the Bianchi X-15. It sells for under $100. Just bought one for my Airweight snub. Fits okay and I can pull it off under a sweatshirt. A button up shirt works better though as the strap tends to ride up towards your neck line. My verdict is still out on shoulder rigs. A good OWB holster conceals better and rides better to me. A shoulder rig is a nice option if you feel like packing around the normal method.

Packing Heat has great prices and great service. I've bought several holsters from them with zero issues.

thanks for the advice. i think the bianchi is the best value but didnt want straight up and down.
ended up with the galco classic lite. 63 bucks shipped.
will post report after i wear it a few times.
thanks again

Go with the Classic Lite system. It is is the most comfortable I have tried and the soft leather holster conceals better as well.

Miami Classic was one I loved back in the day, full size auto and two offside magazines. Mine was so old it said Jackass Leather.

I usually find myslef recommending Huagen's or Rosen's Express Line these days. Given their price points, the same as several mass produced offerings, you will be hard pressed to find a comparable rig.

yeah, but you dont get a picture of playboy with the classic, only the classic lite!
I actually tried the Miami model first. I found it, and any other hard formed holsters, to be a lot less comfortable. The soft leather holsters provided a flatter surface against my body. :)
