Which rifle prices will increase the most next fall?

It's just a simple question, based upon your total situational awareness of both US and global political-economic factors, to determine which rifle(s) will see the largest price jump.

The only purpose is to cross-check opinions, because my next rifle will be a Garand from the CMP store in Anniston, during a drive home in March.

Which rifle prices will increse the most

Unmodified vintage military sniper rifles.

Do to the popular CMP GSM Vintange Sniper Rifle matches lately and the fact the matches are being fired at Club GSM matches as well as CMP's National, Eastern and Western Games, the demand is skyrocketing, as well as the prices.

This match is getting more popular, and being limited to pre 1954 "as issued" sniper rifles, the prices are gonna go up, not just with the orginal rifle but rule legal reproductions.

All of 'em, although maybe not as fast as food prices. Ammo components will likely also be increasing in price--probably more than the guns.

Naaahhh...
Food prices are just fine. Inflation's only 2%...
Excluding food, and fuel, of course. You know, the stuff that our government says doesn't matter.

Anything supposedly capable of "high-capacity" or can be trapped into the EBR moniker. Remember when AK's were plentiful at $250.00 or even less? Then they jumped to ~$1k! Now they seemed to have settled at a nominal $500.00+ wherever you go.

Interesting, as always.

Ninesites:
Regrettably my interest in guns only began in late '07, then age 52.
Plinking with pellets as a kid and several times with the .22 in my twenties added up to about nothing.

Luckily my astute gun buddies (very experienced middle aged guys) realized Before the last election that the White House needed its fresh "political capital" for major bills in Congress.
And that's exactly what happened.

The Prices will continue to climb until the sales start to diminish, a mad panic to go out and buy everything on the shelf will drive the prices higher and higher, and eventually out of reach.
So my answer is what ever rifle are the best sellers will go up in price.

I would ask if people have enough disposable income to chase inflated prices on rifles especially given that we just saw a drastic rise and fall in prices of everything based solely in fear.
Also we who produce your food are at the mercy of fuel prices as well. If you don't like filling the 25 gallon tank on your truck, imagine getting the bill for a tanker off-loading 5000 gallons of fuel four times per year.

The thought that which party is in power matters is laughable. With our current stock of gutless politicians on both sides of the ailse were in for a bumpy and costly ride.

All items inflation was 3% last year. The economy grew about 3%. The issue is the trillions of dollars pumped into the economy by the fed has not left the banks mostly and is just sitting there as the banks are too messed up to understand how to take risk, and see no reason to when the the federal government is already taking it for them.

How will this effect rifle prices? It won't. I expect prices to continue their drop relative to 2009 unless some other event causes wide spread problems in the economy (like say a war with Iran). Alternatively the banks could start investing heavily again and heating up the economy. They might get poked to do that as this is an election year.

It does matter, but not in the way you think. It's the public perception that matters. It's (almost) irrelevant what the next President will do, but what people will THINK will happen which will drive prices and demand up.

military pattern rifles. anything with a potential for tactical combat application always goes up on election years. AK15s, AK47s, SKS, M14s, VZ58s, dragunovs, and just about any other semi auto combat rifle is going to go up. sniper rifles and high grade optics are also going to rise as well.

Everything will when the panicked idiot herd hits the stores............

And then we can buy them up used when they realize they are not going to make any money re-selling them:D
