It's going down FAST and you need to get out NOW! Your bugout pack is ready and you grab it on your way to the vault. You can see them. They're next door and across the street. RAT-TAT-TAT-TAT-TAT!!! You hear the machine gun fire and it's close. You have little time. You get to your gun-vault and deftly open it. Each gun is ready and in good working conditon. But you can only choose one before you run for the hills. Another burst of machine-gun fire prompts you to quickly grab 200 rounds of ammo and this rifle...

I don't need any of the above. All I need is my cell phone and my trusty 911 operator will have the police, Army, Marines, Air Force and the Navy there, all within 30 seconds:)

Been there. Done that. Lived out of a BOB (Bug Out Bag) for a few years.

So, the answer is Walther TPH .22 and FAST hollow points. Currently my ammo is Quik-Shok.

Then I find my hide... And begin to forage and make buddies!

Claymores are nice...

Just remember "This side towards enemy".

:p

Actually, I voted above for an AK-47, my Bulgarian SLR-95 with a dozen 30-round mags was my Y2K gun, I trusted it that much, even over my AR-15, M-14NM, BM-59, and 700PSS. Tops for gettin' down 'n dirty when they're already in your face, regardless of what Fred over at Fred's Gunstocks says...
