So we all know a .357 can shoot a .38

A .460 can eat .45 and .454

this got me thinking. which gun can chamber and eat the most calibers. Is there a gun out there that can eat 9mm .38 .380 .357 ect ect ect?

In your scenario is it possible or not to do a cylinder swap on the revolver? (Like Ruger single action convertibles that can have a .45 ACP cylinder and a .45 Colt cylinder.)

DaleA sure that would work.

I guess what I'm getting at is if I wanted to buy only 1 gun but have the most options of calibers to shoot out of it what should I get.

The Medusa looks like a great answer to the question. So why are they not making or anyone else making something like this today?

One that is currently manufactured, and someone not in the top 1% of income can afford to buy.
Taurus Raging Judge. 410, 454 Casull, 45 Colt.
S&W Governor. 410, 45Colt, 45acp.

The Medusa is interesting, but a neat solution to a non-problem. It might be useful in countries where ammunition is severely restricted, but those countries almost always ban guns also, so the Medusa itself would be unobtainable and illegal.

A Colt .45 can easily fire a .45 Colt, and also handle (BUT NOT WELL) .44-40, .41 Colt, .41 Magnum, .44 special, .44 Magnum, .38.40. Now that's versatility!

And in some instances you get KAPOW excitement. :D

Any revolver chambered in .22Long Rifle can chamber and digest:
.22LR
.22Long
.22Short
.22CB
.22BB
.22CB Short, Long & Long Rifle
.22BB Short, Long & Long Rifle
.22 Stinger

And with a quick cylinder change:
.22 Magnum
.22WRF

At least I cant quit buying them any way.
Go from a 78gr 700 fps squirrel popper to a 100 gr 1600 fps bad guy whacker and every thing in between all from the same gun.

Most 327 Federal chambered guns will also safely fire 32 ACP. I shot both my 327s for the first time today, and each fired 32 ACP. I have a Taurus M327 and a 7.5" Ruger Single Seven
