I don't see a list. But from experience I would say the Sig P938. A real pocket pistol that virtually disappears in my jeans pocket.
A Glock G19 hides very well also.

Personality I'd prefer the Glock 26 cause it rides better sitting down in cars, chairs, on commuter trains, etc. But the 19 will do to.

Not only conceals very well in all but t-shirts, but 16 to 18 (with +2 mags) rounds there is no shortage of ammo and very good accuracy. Add a NY-1/3.5 lb connector and you have an excellent heavy duty ccw gun that can take +p+ 9mm all day.

Of your choices only the G-19 is a real contender and there are probably better choices. Not that the others aren't good guns, just too big

Odd that you'd only give glock a fighting chance in this poll. Almost a push poll.

I'd select the CZ p-07, same size as the 19 but not a glock if I was going with a large thick CC sidearm.

In reality the M&P 9c or Shield should be on the list, with the Shield easily winning because it's a true CC size.

I have both and the P938 is a good choice. It is pretty small and mine is very reliable. For that matter, so is the G19. The P938 is a little slimmer on the sides and with a magazine with extended baseplate it is not too much of a handful.

Probably of the ones listed I'd opt for the Smith, Glock ergos dont work for me and I like Sigs but I'd rather have a 228/229, Beretta is way too big and has too long of trigger reach.

Odd selection... Is that the pistols you own or otherwise have access to?

The glock 19 is the smallest of the group... Though the m&p isn't far off, and should conceal well if you use a good holster and select a good carry position.

The 92 is a little bulky in width compared to the first two mentioned.

The 226 is a substantial pistol in size, the weight isn't too bad all things considered though.

The advice of a good holster and carry style fits with the two larger pistols as well.

Agree that it's a bit of an odd list in that there are infinitely more options. Would like to know what went into the decision to include only these.

I voted for M&P, being nonspecific enough that it could be interpreted to include the compact version and/or the Shield. :)

'Best' in what regard?

If you 'like' one make/model more than the others, that might influence your choice.

The nature of the carry method, and the specific products (holster & belt) used for concealed carry, can certainly make a difference.

The individual's experience (both familiarity & demonstrated skillset), and the conditions under which the weapon is lawfully concealed (including activities), can make a difference.

I spent a career having to carry either a full-size or compact pistol on-duty (more than a decade working plainclothes), so nowadays (retirement CCW) I typically prefer to either pocket (holster) carry, or pick one or another of my smaller pistols for belt carry, as needed. My full-size and some of my compact handguns stay in the safe most of the time, except for training/practice & periodic quals. As has been mentioned, getting in & out of cars & chairs all day/night can be an issue when it comes to sustained comfort.

Of course, not everyone can shoot/use the smaller pistols as well as larger ones, so that has to be considered by the individual considering the choice.

I suppose that if I were forced to choose from among the posted list, and someone else were footing the bill, I'd probably opt for the M&P 9. Almost as compact as the G19, but with more mag capacity and a slimmer, more comfortable grip frame. (In the way of Glocks, I only own a pair of subcompact G26's & a G27, because I don't care for the larger models.)

Suit yourself. Can you manipulate and shoot any of them better than the others? Any hands-on range experience with any/all of them? Just window shopping from among 'favorite' or 'popular' makes/models?

concealing or using for defense? best for concealed carry assumes you already picked one of these two things as a priority. if it's concealing, the m&p compact or the g19 is best. for actually defending yourself, i'd much rather have the p226 or 92g

Huh, drive by poll...

All a bit too big for me. I guess I'd choose the G19. Not my first choice for concealed carry.

Glock 19 is my preferred non-1911 sized CCW gun. Though I carry a CZ P-07 over a 19 right now.

The others are too big, and I hate the M&P triggers.

The G19 is one of the best carry guns ever made. It is large enough to soak up the 9mm recoil, high enough capacity close to the largest 9mms even with a flush fit mag.

Most of all they run... Yes the gen 4 had some hiccups but with the right replacement extractor they run just like they should.

The others are too large for daily carry. You do not mention which M&P but for me if CC was the primary usage one of the smaller M&Ps would be the only other consideration.

If you were going to carry a sig a P229 would but a better choice. Or for even more compact sig, the P938 like someone suggested.

It all comes to preference. Rent them, or at least hold them find whats best for you and stick with it.
