Which mod. S&W?

yes, my friend has an old s&w revolver. I can't tell the mod., but the ser. no. is 3214xx. The style looks similar to some of the old hand ejector models. It is a 38 special though. The patent dates are on the barrel. They range from 1901 to 1914. Anyone know when this is made and which mod.? Any info would be greatly apprecited.

[Too Far Gone]

My guess is a Hand Ejector, 1905 4th change. Basic Military & Police model that would become the Model 10 in 1957. That serial would likely be somewhere around 1920 give or take a year or two (or three or four since I am making an educated guess, here).

No hot loads.
