Is the Lyman 4500 lube/sizer better or worse than the RCBS Lube-a-Matic 2? Which one do you have and what is good or not so good about it?

I like the Lyman for GG boolits...when I'm not casting TL boolits. I like Lee's sizer for TL boolits, no-brainer for the price & performance. OTOH I don't have any RCBS gear that isn't first-rate, just don't have their sizer.

I have used both. I prefer the Lyman because of the ratcheting lube handle allows me to control the pressure on the lube better than the RCBS slide-through system. After using the Lyman handle, I could never really get used to the RCBS and sold it and bought a used Lyman. Other than that handle, there is no real difference.

I have a Star that I use on most of my cast bullets.

I also have the RCBS that I use when I want to install gas checks or on some special rifles like my 45-70 and 44-90.

I also have some Lee sizers that I use on some cases.

They all work pretty good. The sizing die to me is more importantant then the luber.
