Which gun should i buy?

I've been to a couple of gun stores to buy and ive set my eyes on a used ruger mark iii hunter ( that has a 4.5 in barrel) for $300 and a new ruger mark iii hunter 6.88in barrel for $500. there is also a new $400 buckmark urx stainless, but i cant decide on one and was wondering on which one was the best deal, best price and overall best gun.

All things being even (new, used, working) I'd go for the $300 + 6 months of ammo and you'd still be under the other options.

I have a ruger 22/45 MKIII Hunter and enjoy the heck out of it. Any of the above will be accurate and enjoyable. I did have to replace the extractor on mine (cheap and straight forward DIY fix with the help of YouTube) to get it running flawlessly.

I don't think the extra $100-200 would be worth the difference you'll see at the range.

Speaking from personal experience I would chose the Buckmark. But I have shot both the Rugers 22/45 and the Mark II. There is no wrong decision when it comes to both of the handguns. The Buckmark and the Ruger are both deadly accurate and reliable handguns that handle the cheapest ammo with minimal malfunctions, just keep them wet.

When it came time for me to decide which pistol it would be, I decided soley on the feel of the gun, I liked how the URX grips felt so now I have a buckmark.

From just my personal experiences- I'd vote for the Buck Mark.

No need to take it down until it quits working. Clean what you can get to without taking it apart, and don't worry about cleaning the bbl for the next 20yrs or so. No seriously, no need to clean .22lr bbl's until accuracy starts to fall off.
