ok im leaning hard towards pickin up one of the spartan works over and unders, but I dont know what I need? Like on this site theres 3 models, selective trigger and monoblock and selective ejectors for these 3 models http://www.spartangunworks.com/spr310_field.htm plus what length barrel, 3 inch or 2 3/4. Will the 3 inch shoot 2 3/4 but just not vice versa? Im sure the type of shooting i will be doing is the main determining factor....mostly i will be shooting sporting clays and bird hunting. any recomendations?

What Gauge are you considering. In 12ga all three models have 3"chambers (That will handle 2 3/4" shells ) and single trigger, ejectors and 28" barrells.

The Sporting version has 29.5" barrels. This would be my choice.

Should do nicely for clays and hunting.

The three models differ in cosmetics, your choice here.

yeah i was thinkin 12 guage

well it seems like after reading those specs the sporting had less features than the other 2, but maybe i misread

The sporting has ported barrels, which is primarily to reduce muzzle flip. Because ports allow gas to escape to the side this means the people beside you are subjected to some more noise.

All of the 310s have a smal screw for each barrel that allows you to choose between ejectors OR extractors (to the best of my knowledge the only gun so equipped.)

I like mine with 28" bbl. but most trap shooters and some others prefer longer bbls. to help the gun swing smoother.
A O/U with 28" bbl. is usually about the same length as a pump gun with 26"bbl.

I have read but cannot verify that the sporting models have better looking wood.

Hope you enjoy whichever model you choose as much as I do mine
