Which Chrony??

Ok, so im about to buy my first chrony, and am looking at the Shooting Chrony Beta Chronograph. Any comments or advice on the suitability of this model or potential of others ??

There are 2 kinds of chrono owners. Those who have shot their chrono, and those who will. :(

That said, I have 2 chronos, Pact and CED. Both have the electronics separate from the sensors so a bad aim incident destroys the sensors, not the expensive part. For me, that seems prudent. Shooting Chrony has the electronics on the sensors.

I'd love to hear from members on which chronograph they think is the "best." I currently use a ProChrono Digital Chronograph. It works OK, but this weekend I got some really strange results and the display started showing some characters not seen before. So I'm considering buying a new one. I would like one with a remote so I can change strings without having to go downrange.

Suggestions? What works best for you? I shoot rifle, muzzleloader (patched round ball) and pistol.

Thanks,

That's pretty much in line with what I think too.

I change the battery when it starts acting funny. My chronos do not get used much, but the conditions can be extreme (hot/cold) and the batteries wear out quick.
