Which Boresighter?

I've been looking at three boresighters - the traditional style Bushnell with the 15 spuds, Leoupold magnetic, and Site-Lyte laser. The Site-Lyte seems to be the easiest to use and the Loopy more complicated. However, I'm a little partial to the Bushnell because of no batteries and electronics to break but the Bushy"s metal spuds in the bore may not be good for the rifling.

I own a Bushnell and find it works very well for mounting scopes and especially good for checking scope poa before removing and verifying after remounting.
The studs will not harm the bore if you use care in sliding them in and removing them.;)

I purchased a boresighter (Redhead ) from Bass Pro Shop for around $39 and I'm very happy with it. Very easy to use. Buddy of mine has a Leupond bore sighter but prefers to use mine cause it easier to use.

I'm of the opinion that if you are sighting in any gun in which you can see down the barrel, a bore sighter is a total waste of time and money. I can take any gun with an open-breech barrel and have it on paper at 100 yds with one shot. Why use a bore sighter when you can do that?

Now, if you are talking a closed-breech system then that's a different matter.
