Which Beretta?

OK if I can't find a KZ45 anywhere, I'm going to pick up another Beretta that will be USPSA Production-legal, because Nina falls into Limited. What do you guys think:

Option #1: 92FS with either a Novak bar-dot night sights, or Entreprise ghost ring night sights, depending on what's USPSA legal. Elite II extended mag release and Elite II skeletonized hammer. LTT stainless guide rod, if it is USPSA legal (has to be within 2 oz of factory part?). LTT Level One trigger job (trigger job, D hammerspring, but NO speedbump trigger). Black hex screws if I can find them.

Option #2: Same as option #1 but with an M9 instead. Wuzza difference, just different rollmarks?

Option #3: Same as option #1 but a 92FS Brigadier.

Option #4: 92FS Inox Brigadier, with option #1 parts (minus elite II mag release and hammer, because they are black and not stainless) and pearl or ivory grips. I.e. the USPSA Production Pimp.

I'd go w/ a 92fs, 92fs inox, or M9. Since you're looking at 9mm, you don't need the extra weight of the Brig' slide (IMHO). If you're going for 'Pimp' potential, get the inox ;)

I would go with #3. Since it is going to be used as a competition gun, that extra bit of weight on top may help. Plus my favorite Beretta is the 96F Border Marshall. :)

Skunk - have you thought about the Vertec? Seems like a nice incarnation of a 19(11)-92fs. The only thing I didn't like about the one I saw today was how the DA trigger would get VERY heavy just before firing, but if you're gonna have trigger work done anyway that wouldn't be an issue.

I second the thought the the Beretta Border Marshal is one of the worlds finest. Mine is a .40 though.

Well, the Inox is out...the NROI at USPSA said that grip modifications (even for cosmetics) are not allowed. Which makes no sense if they allow other performance enhancing modifications like trigger jobs and SS guiderods... So much for my dreams and aspirations of being the USPSA Production Pimp.

Get the M9, use the M84 holster and dress in Camoflage for all competitions. You may not get to be the USPSA Production Pimp, but you could be the USPSA Production Commando!:p ;) :D

The new limited production Billenium - all steel version of 92FS. No aluminum frame, but pricey.

Haven't heard about it...anyway if it won't be tested in CA for the CHILDREN then I won't have any of it :( I want a clear conscience, not a babykilling gun!

If I had my druthers I'd get the 92 Combat or Stock, even if they don't fall in the Production division.

I'd like the M9 or 92FS for the 'original' but installing night sights will be a pain.

I can hold my own against 1911 shooters with my Beretta in most matches, but don't know how being scored minor will affect my placement. Anyway, production is forced minor anyway...

If you get the M9 or 92FS you can send the slide to Trijicon and they can put the vial in the front sight for you. Also, you won't need to have the slide refinished.
