Which you consider a better buy, Bushmaster or Olympic arms. I need to get one soon and the price ranges are the same for either.

Threat down, price may be close.....but the rifles aren't.....BUSHMASTER all the way..........
They are the ONLY factory AR left that is built to exact MIL SPEC...........
Others claim it......tain't so........
 
It sort of depends of your needs. I have never owned the Oly, but know that they don't chrome line their bores (and chambers?). (They claim they don't do it for better accuracy, but doing it makes the barrel last longer, the gun more reliable, and cleaning easier.)

I would recommend Bushmaster. Mine has never failed me.

If you can get the them for the same price then it is no contest. Bushmaster is the one to get even if it was a couple hundred more.
 
Definitely Bushie- some friends and I all enjoy BM
with zero complaints. Right now seems to be a good time to
buy- plentiful and prices seem low. Find a dealer who will do the transfer, then follow boards such as Bowers board. Lots of good deals- my friend just picked up a
Dissipator in like-new condition for $615 shipped. Nice price for a great rifle. Also, try to shoot one with and without a muzzle attachment. There is virtually no recoil with an AR15, but there is a significant difference in noise level with brakes attached. It won't really affect you if you have hearing protection(and you should) but those next to you at a range won't be to happy! Gunhound
 
Without a doubt.........BUSHMASTER. Colts quality went out the window about the same time their head swole up..

Over 3000 rounds through my 16" Bushy and not a single failure. Well, with the exception of the USA mag I tried once..(ONCE)
