Which ammo for Xbolt .308?

What is the best ammo for target shooting and also hunting in the Xbolt .308? I picked up some Federal 150 grain FMJ but have not had a chance to shoot it yet. Thanks in advance

My favorite .308 range ammo is Prvi 175gr FMJBT Match ammo. It will shoot 1.25" groups all day long for ~$12/20 rounds. I like Federal Fusion 165gr ammo for deer hunting.

I used Remington Core-Lokt 150gr on deer with my 308 and they were usually dead right there.

Whichever you find to be the most accurate, with a bullet suited for your intended target.

Try out as many as you can until you find the one your rifle likes or has an acceptable accuracy to you. Hopefully, it will be the cheaper ones.
My wife's X-Bolt .308 likes Hornady Ammo in 165 gr BTSP and SST. She shoots into less than 2 inch groups at 200 yards.

I am a CoreLokt fan. It always puts the deer down and I can get one inch groups from a bench at 100 yards. CoreLokt in .308 is also relatively inexpensive (~ $19/box of 20).
