228. I own a 229, but it's a .40.

Here's why: I like capacity and concealability. My favorite guns are midsized guns (ie, Glock 23, Walther P99, Para-Ord P13.45) because you generally give up 2 rounds of capacity for added concealability. But, they are much easier to carry, particularly for someone 5 foot 7 (ie, me).

I'd knock out the 225 because I'd rather carry 13 rounds than 7. I'd knock out the 226 because while I'd rather carry 15 rounds than 13 rounds, the 228 is much more concealable, and therefore I would be more likely to carry it more often.

Keep in mind that this is not the right choice for everyone. Those with big hands might want the 226, while others with particularly small hands might want the 225. Also, some people might not like hi-cap guns, and others might just like the feel of one or the other. If there was one gun that was the best, Sig wouldn't be making more than one model, would they?

Sig P228, without hesitation-

cause I've owned the P226 in 9m/m; and in
today's society single-stack 9m/m's (P225) take
a back seat, in my way of thinking.

The P226 was beautiful, and very dependable;
as well as highly accurate. Two-tone, with
factory Sig-Lite night sight's; but I didn't
care for the "European" style grip. So, with
a little explanation; I voted for the Sig P228.

Best Wishes,

The Sig P228 fits my hand like a glove, great night sights, and a truly fanastic double and single action trigger. My P228 is accurate and trouble free. Regards, Richard

Your choices seem to be a large vs small deal. I have pretty large hands so anything other than a large gripped frame would not be comfortable. The P226 feels really good in my hands and is utterly reliable.

I like the P6. I would like to get one some day. I also want the P7. I have the P5. I hope you see where I am going with this...;)

I gotta vote for one that's not in your poll - 239. Comfortable to carry, accurate, shoots well, priced right. I bet my life on one every day.

P-225

It's the only 9mm Sig I own. I've got a 226 in .357sig and a 229 in .40.

But...

Unsheathing the 225 from good Galco leather is like pulling Excalibur from the Stone.

My P228 has been flawless, but I don't think the P226 is any lessor of a gun. It will come down to pure preference. Pick the one that feels best to you.

I have all three, so i was looking for the "All of the above" option.

I would take my P226 first, but it would depend on my mood at the time.:p
