I would interpret the data this way...All 3 pistols have their fans, all 3 have their plusses & minuses. If you can, try each one before you buy and pick up the one that fits & performs best for you.
I guess that's the usual lesson you can take from questions/polls like this.

Well, I voted for the G23.

Why?

Because I have a boatload of leather and spare mags for it. ;)

Seriously, none of these three would get kicked out of my gun collection; they're all well-liked, commercially successful, widely-used duty pistols. Pick the one that fits your hand best and you'll be fine.

None of the above. Why? I like the BHP 40 S&W better than any of the choices. My next choice would be a Glock 27. Regards, Richard

I'm not a fan of DA, so that rules out the Sig although it is otherwise a fine gun.

I don't feel comfortable with the Glock. The .40 is the kaboom model and that darn thing just doesn't look well-made. In reality, this may mean nothing, but I wouldn't feel comfortable shooting one and that's not a good thing for a gun.

The USP has no hi-capacity magazines (technically) and has a fairly long trigger reset, but these are minor complaints on an otherwise excellent gun.

If all around use = the most versatile in your list, then I pick the USP 40C. With its combo saftey/decock lever, it is more versatile than either the Glock or the Sig. You can carry the USP without a holster safely...can't do that with a glock. You can carry the USP in single action mode with safety on...can't do that with the Sig.

3 excellent choices. You have pretty much summed up the better compact .40s on the market. I give the HK the edge because of its versatile manual of arms. Many prefer the simple manual of arms of the Glock however. Of the 3, the Sig is the best balanced and it too has its share of supporters.

I bought a Glock 23 for $400 and never looked back.
Fits my hand perfectly and points very naturally. It can really be tossed around alot. It's one hell of a rugged piece of plastic.
Best deal in an all around .40 caliber tool IMO.

Glock 23.

I own a Glock 23, a Sig 229 and a USPc (though the USPc is a 9mm). All are excellent guns, however, I find the Sig to be heavy for carry (though excellent for just about everything else) and it's finish is not all that durable, and the lack of hi-caps on the USPc troubles me.
