Which .22 pistol?

Greetings all,

I have been toying with the idea of purchasing a .22 pistol for informal target shootin. Also, to really aquire the muscle memory of proper shooting. I currently have a variety of various handguns, HK, Sig, & Beretta. My two top choices for a .22 are a Ruger 22/45 with the heavy barrel, or a Sig Trailside. The Sig would be my first choice, however I understand that they are a bit more fragile than the Ruger. From what I have read, you CAN NOT dry the Trailside. It also is finicky with certain rounds. How do the Ruger and Sig compare as far as price, accuracy, ease of maitenance, etc?

Hard to go wrong with the Rugers. I enjoy my MKII. If you also shoot 1911s - you may want the 22/45.

You can put Crimson Trace laser grips on the MKII and get one heckuva tack triver.

Just for fun-

If you can find one that's affordable, try a Colt Match
Target Woodsman on for size. With a ten round mag,
it's not uncommon to make one hole shot's from 50 ft.
with this pistol. :) :D
