which 10rd 1911 mags????

MecGars are inexpensive (about $14) and have worked really well in my 1911s. I have also had good luck with the McCormick Shooting Star 10 rounders, but they are a little more expensive (about $25).

try the new shootingstar power mags. I got some a few weeks ago, and am trying to sell all my regular shootingstar mags...... yes, they are that much better than the old ones. even the feel when you rack the slide feels more precise. they are awesome

10mmrules, how much do you want for you CM Shooting Star 10 rounders?

McCormick and Wilsdn 10 rounders are both good. The McCaormick has the plastic raparound shield which protects the lower part of the 10 round magazine which protrudes below the bottom of the butt whem it is inserted in the pistol.

I couldn't get the McCormick to work reliably in my 70 Series Gold Cup. Switched to Wilson. I like the follower design on the Wilson much better.

Haven't had a problem with my Ed Brown 10 rounders. With the rounded follower and extra beefy spring, they feed beautifully, without a worry. They also come with an extended base pad, and you can't 'over insert' the mag (welded on mag stop).

Probably noticed no posts recommend buying the Pro Mags.

Ed Brown is good; you never go wrong buying quality, but you can get screwed royally if you try to be a cheapskate.

Know what I mean?

I've used Wilson and McCormick 10 round .45 ACP magazines for years. Both are excellent, although I'd certainly give the edge to Wilson strictly in terms of the quality of the magazine per se. However, the McCormick is about an inch shorter than the Wilson, therefore providing somewhat easier concealed carriage for a full-sized 1911A1.
