How many of you guys have wives that cancel your votes? Us guys are the usually the conservatives and our wives vote for Liberals, however, this time I'm happy my wife voted for a minor candidate. If this happens enough Bush will win!

It was the absentee ballot, so it's a done deal.

:(
Happend to me/us in '92. Didn't happen in '96. She got tired of listening to me say "Your Buddy did this and that". 2K, were on the same page again. 'course were still working for her side of the family to vote Nader instead of Gore.
When I talk to someone that is luke warm on Gore, but wants to vote against Republicans, to "get even for Kenn Starr?!?", I try to talk up the Libertarian Party to them. Lots of the LP ideas, like live and let live and stopping the war on drugs hold a certain appeal to some liberals as well. Got 3 of em so far to vote for Browne instead of Gore. :)<- At least I think so.

My wife voted for Clinton in '92. I told her he couldn't be trusted, and yet I can't say I blame her for being taken in. His sliminess wasn't so obvious then, and I think a lot of decent people, my wife among them, just couldn't that he had so few principles and so very little character. For that matter, a lot of people still can't see behind his mask, or maybe they just don't care.

Anyway, she eventually saw him for the lying creep that he is. So she voted for Dole in '96, not that it did any good. We both voted early for Bush this year and are hoping he wins.

Interestingly enough, way back during the '92 campaign when people were still saying "Bill who?", and all my wife and I knew about him was he was a Democrat, my wife and I saw him pop up on the news one day with about a 10-second soundbite. First time I'm aware that either of us had ever heard of him. The wife immediately pegged him as a lying, womanizing scumbag from the soundbite. She's kinda psychic that way.

Are you implying that Nader is a libertarian???

HaHa ! I scared my Mom into voting for Nader, which made me feel better about voting Libertarian. Seriously, the whole time I'm thinking "Anyone but Gore !", didn't realize when push comes to shove I felt the same way about Bush. An aside, I voted Republican for all California representatives because the B.S. going on in my state has got to stop at all costs.
