I own a .41 mag Blackhawk that i absolutely love. Stag horn grips, custom trigger work...but no holster yet. I want the belt, bullet loops, and the holster for it. I live very close to tombstone AZ, so i can always run down there and get one, but the prices aren't all that great. so are there any suggestions for any sites or anybody you may be aware of who sells on these forums?

Simply Rugged. He's in AZ, Prescott, I believe, and has the best holsters I've ever purchased. Expensive and worth every penny.

If there ever was something where you get what you pay for, holsters are it. Never, ever buy a cheap holster. A gun will eat a cheap holster alive. Second place goes to a good gun belt. You really have to spend serious money to get quality in both belts and holsters, and poor quality is just plain painful.
You didn't state what style of rig you are looking for. If you want a full blown western gunfighter rig expect to pay some serious money. If you are looking for a working rig with a western flavor check out the Tom Threepersons rig that Ray at www.lobogunleather.com makes. You can have it all the way from plain vanilla to fully carved in the original S.D. Saddlery pattern with a belt and bullet slide to match and it won't break the bank and will be superb quality.
There are a plethora of holster makers out there currently. Some good, some not so good and a lot that are very very good and prices are all over the board.
A good rule of thumb to know is that a simplistic pancake holster of top quality leather has no more than $10 of material and no more than 40 min of actuall working time a very complex holster with exotic trim will have no more than $40 in material and two hours working time. That's a good baseline to start from in deciding if you are receiving value.

I make a nice holster and I have a 41 Blackhawk so I can give you a perfect fit. If money is tight, I have one made right now that I call my "Workin Man".
I sell it for half of the cost of my signature holsters. I make them from reall heavy leather and it has been wet moulded to fit the 41 BH.

I've had three made from this site,http://harrisonleather.com/, and have no complaints.
i'm definitely looking for a cowboy rig, tooled leather, i'd like some silver in it. not a lot but a conch on the holser or something like that. I also like the bullet slots on the holster itself instead of silver. it's one of those things where i'll know what i want when i see it

I hate to ask and don't want you to give away any trade secrets, but I'm working on making my own and would love to know how you harden and finish the leather.
Don't worry about me becoming competition, I'm just making my own for me. Even a PM would be great.

I don't know how Freedom does it. I do know how I and a lot of other custom makers do it. To harden the leather. Once you have it dampened and formed it is heated to about 130 deg F for about a half hour a convection oven is good or a heat box then finish dry natrually. For finish I like the acrylic finishes like leather sheen or resolene. Here's a secret for a really nice sheen to the leather. While it is still damp from forming and before the heat buff it vigorously by hand with a piece of sheepskin.

Bout fifteen years back I called Western Montana home, Jocko Valley on the Flathead Indian Res. I packed a 3 screw Ruger .41 mag while guideing and hunting in the Bob Marshel Wilderness area. I used a hand-made rig by a local saddlemaker. I loaded cast gas-checked 240 grain bullets (not an easy mold to find) real hot and did get some barrel leading. Later I switched to a 4" S&W model 29 .44 mag. I loved that Ruger, fine gun. A fine gun deserves fine gun-leather.
