Where to zero sights on 336 w/150gr.

I finally got my Williams peep sights. I got the combo deal w/FP and Firesight optical front sight. Installation was easy as can be. I shrunk my group size by quite a bit, I averaged a little better than 2" @ 50 yards. That is good for me. I was very impressed. Anyway I set up the sights to hit about 1" high at 50 yards figuring I should be close at 100 yards. Is this correct? I figure I'll not shoot past 100 yards anyway so I thought this was the best solution for me. Any other ideas? Thanks all. BTW, I just love my 336M!

Just to show you how I take care of you guys: I got up from my comfy chair and went out in 95-degree heat to the loading room and got my Sierra data book and looked up yore stoopid ca'tridge. (Grumble, gritch.)

Allowing for iron sights instead of a scope, if you're about dead on at 50 yards to maybe a half-inch high, you're gonna be about dead on at 100 yards and about two to three inches low at 150 yards. (A scope is about an inch higher above the line of the bore than are iron sights.)
