Where to get an M1 Carbine?

After reading the infamous thread, I'm intersted.

Which ones are available? I've heard the Universals are junk. Aside from vintage GI issues, are there any others more recently made that are worthwile? How are the Iver Johnsons or the new Israeli copies?

Also, where can I find these for sale?

Lots of people on the board have the new IAI m1 carbines. I have shot mine alot and enjoy it. I think that I paid about $450 or so for it. Most of the parts are new surplus The barrels are brand new. The plus side is that magazines are dirt cheap. I have two still in factory wrap! A red wax type paper. In a vintage magazine pouch. I will keep them this way just because they are 50 years old and still brand new. Don't buy magazines from them though. They charge WAY too much for them. DAROGUE1
