Where to buy special .22 ammo?

I'm looking for a specific .22 round and I don't remember what they are called.
It is a non-powder, low velocity round that uses only the primer to propel the bullet. I believe they come in a long so they will work in clips. They are extremely quiet.
I've bought them in the past but that gun shop doesn't carry them anymore. Does anyone know what these rounds are called and if they can be purchased on line?
 
They are 22LR (long rifle), not longs, if your gun store doesn't have them he can order them.

They go in magazines not clips and you can shoot them in any 22 revolver, pistol or rifle but keep in mind they will not cycle semi-automatic actions, you have to cycle each shot by hand. That isn't a problem in bolt action rifles or revolvers.

Thanks! I did find them. Cabelas sells the Super Colibri. A little faster than the Colibri, but the ad still says it's a no powder-load.
 
There is a name for the "type" of cartridge,,,

But I'm having a senior moment and can't remember what it is,,,

You want the Super Colibri. Now, don't plan on it working at all with a semi-auto. I like to use them with an old bolt action Marlin 80. Very quiet. Not the most accurate of ammo but they're fun.

Quite possibly the coolest thing ever invented. They make less noise than my pellet gun, and are pretty accurate inside 35 yards. Shoot 'em outta my dad's old marlin bolt-action all night long, and nobody knows but me and the wood round with the target taped to it in my yard!
 
You are probably thinking of CB caps. The "old wives tale" is that they have now powder - only a primer. However, I believe that has been disproved by those who like to take things apart. I use CCI brand (shorts) to kill squirrels in the back yard. They are quiet when shot out of a closed breech (like a bolt-action). They will not cycle in any autoloader I've ever used them with.
 
First: To get what you want just order form a major supplier. In this case I would first check with Midway Arms.
You are probably referring to CB caps. I bought a brick years ago to teach shooting to my daughter and grandchildren. I also use to dispatch critters that did not die with first shot.
 
Special 22

My local pawn shop carries both shorts and longs in 100 pack plastic sliders. For that matter so did Walmart last summer.
