Just wondering where everyones go tos are.

For me its PSA, CDNN, and if you wait for sales I've got good deal at Dicks Sporting Goods.

And every so often I go and haggle for the best price at a gun show.

Where do you guys go to?

Typically Grabagun.

I like that they have low shipping and no credit card surcharge. I like credit card because it gives me extra options just in case there is a problem along the way and I get credit card points toward products or cash but I always pay off my credit card balance each month in full. Grabagub may not always be the absolute lowest but they are generally among the lowest and for me have always shipped very fast to my FFL.

Buds has been good for me too but paying with bank transfer, to avoid 3 percent CC fee, slows down shipping quite a bit but if savings are enough no big deal for me.

the evil LGS of course

I have seen no reason for me to deal with anyone other than the evil LGS. I walked in 2 weeks ago and he said close your eyes and hold this (safe direction of course) and he put in my hand a very nice S&W 52-1 with herret target stocks on it. So with eyes still closed, I told him I'd give him 300 bucks:), and he said no, open your eyes, then the haggling started.

I swear the guy is psychic. He did the same thing with a model 60 ladysmith, a model 65 ladysmith, and I get good prices on stuff he orders for me. So by the time you count in shipping and transfer from a online dealer, he is not that far off on orders.

He goes on the gun show circuit so you never know what his inventory is week to week.
There was a norinco 1911 in there, and a safari arms blac tac, springfield emp's, rock island tcm's, colt 1911's, I have seen all kinds of colt and S&W revolvers at one time or another, both new and used.

But he is evil, and local to me.

Forum Classifieds, Gunbroker, Local GS, Big Box retailers, Armslist etc... About the only place I don't find deals these days is at gun shows.

I've purchased a few at gunsamerica and the rest through dealers at gunbroker. Pretty much the only thing I don't buy online these days are shoes, groceries and building materials. Going to stores to 'look for stuff' is out of the question.

I've bought my 3 guns from gunbroker.com, two of which from the same dealer. No problems, everything A-Ok and cheaper than my local stores, including WA state tax, shipping, and the FFL fees. I did all my math before ordering, haha. They were all new in box as well.

I've poked around on grabagun but its not that user friendly for my smartphone. Don't have a desktop to use.

I also will check out a few local shops, usually Wades East side range in Bellevue, WA, or places like Cabelas and Dicks Sporting Goods.

Looking forward to checking out these other recommendations though! Good thread!

"Greentop" in Richmond/Ashland, Va. I don't remember the last gun I bought from anyone else...well I did buy one from a private party a few months ago, but before that.

I have bought from Bud's at least 40 times without a issue. They have good prices on ammo and optics as well

I like slickguns.com and gunwatcher.com .

I don't really have a particular go to.

Gun shows are a pain to get to before work. Maybe on a day off if I'm not overwhelmed with homework.

PSA and Bud's have been where I've found the best deals. I always use slickguns.com when I'm looking for something specific though, great tool for finding the best deal.

Rural King also just opened up an online gun store:

Their prices and availability in-store is usually pretty good, and looks like their online store is the same.

For local buys I've found my best deals at the Gander Mountain I shop and a web site for Virginians...

The Gander Mountain and Bass Pro Shop in Harrisburg PA are both disappointing and overpriced. Cabela's in Newark DE is a treasure trove for ammo, especially when there is a sale or when I have their coupon, there's no sales tax in DE, I never walk out of there empty handed.

I prefer to support LGS's that are also LGR's, their liability insurance rates are skyrocketing which is going to make it harder than it already is to stay in business.

I used to love shopping at Greentop. It made me soooo happy when Gander left town and Greentop took their building!

For on-line buys I like Buds or GunBroker.com.

My local gun shows are great. They are held here...

I used to live in the Burg. I found decent deals at the Gander Mt used counter. Some stuff was out of this world priced but every now and then you would find a gem.

The shows back when I lived there sucked. Maybe they are better these days. If you need a good cheap transfer dealer. Corky's surplus in downtown Fredericksburg as always good to me. Charged be $15 back in the day.

I actually scored a 6" S&W 617 K-frame from an LGS in Salem County NJ, located in THE worst, anti-handgun state in the US. This place is run by a nice lady, Jocelyn, and is open by appointment only. Jocelyn probably has less than a dozen handguns in the case, but her trade is with longgun and bow hunters and there are a ton of these guys in Salem County NJ. She found my 617 in 2 days, whereas the major LGS/LGR in Chadds Ford PA (hint, hint) had me on S&W new revolver backorder "h@!!" for nine months. She had to ship it to a PA LGS for me to complete the p-work & instacheck, "NBD" to get a decent .22LR wheelgun, which are becoming uber expensive and like hens teeth to obtain!
