Where is the Springfield M25?

I was looking through an old gun rag of mine (Guns and Weapons for Law Enforcement, April 1999) and it said that Springfield was going to release the "ultimate refinement of the M14/M1A system". Well, where is it? I was poking around their website and it was not to be found. Dammit, I want to know about this supergun. What have they done to it to make it that much better than the other M1As? Wht are its capabilities?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

M25

GG, there are currently two models that would / somewhat fit the bill on the M25 style.......
SA is selling a Black stocked Mcmillan, and a Woodland Camo, same...........you can order with Hart, Krieger, optional barrrels.( in m1A standard heavy FG stock).
Both come standard with air gaged Douglas, in either C M or S S..........
OR, you can wait for the Carlos Hathcock "Special Commemorative", version............
From what i have heard, it will be in a M3A stock, and will be bedded in Marine Tex, rather than the standard old Bisonite.
They may also have the Hart or Krieger standard......expect to pay at least 3K for one............
the others are selling foe approx $2,300.00.....depending on locale.
Hope this helps ....................
