Where do you shoot 500+ Yards in upstate NY? PA?

The old boy scout property we used to shoot at has been sold and posted

I'm looking for a new spot to shoot long range in upstate New York and Southern Pennsylvania. Im just east of Binghamton, NY.
Anyone know of a public range offering 500 yards and over?

Large open state land where rifle target shooting is permitted?

Gracious member with acres of fields?

I appreciate any directions you can point my in. I don't mind hoofing in a few miles.

there is a good range in lewistown pa. goes to 1000yds(mifflin county sportsman club 60 dollars a year). they have trap-five stand and pistol and artchey too. eastbank.

Check with the State Rifle and Pistol Association for High Power matches. You might not be able to "plink" but you'll be able to shoot matches.

I think there may be other 500-600 yds. as well upstate but Colonie came to mind immediately as it goes to 1,000 yds.!

Write the Highpower Coordinator for the NYSRPA (was an Ira Ruderman?).
