Where do the Beretta .25's with the wood and 'ivory' grips come from?

I would like to know if any of you know about the Beretta .25 jetfire (I think) with the wood grips and with the 'ivory' grips. Also, I've seen some with 'gold' trim. Are the grips aftermarket or factory?

thanks

The wood grips are by Excalibur, don't know what brand the faux ivory ones are; both pairs were bought from Big Buck Enterprises, Inc. Email Mr. Doug Driscoll at bigbuck@vol.com

Are you sure they weren't the Taurus .25s and .22s they have "special" editions with either rosewood or pearl grips and gold accents.

Beretta grips

I got some wood ones made by Beretta for my Tomcat (Model 21A) in .22 (the gun also comes in .25).

Do a google search.

Regards.

I believe the Jetfire with the gold accents and the exotic wood grips was the 950 EL and is no longer in production or so I've been told. The Beretta 21 Bobcat EL *is* available in .22LR and .25acp.

I believe that the 950EL...

..was a highly polished blue Jetfire with nice walnut grips. I found a guy selling the walnut "EL" grips on Auction Arms. (He had purchased the remainder of Beretta's stock.)
They looked great when I first installed them, however they scratched easily and had no "palm swell" like the Excaliburs. I'm going to refinish them in something durable. But the Silverwood Excaliburs (like in the above picture), have proven to be VERY scratch resistant. (And I carry my Jetfire somewhere on my body every day. Front pocket, back pocket, ankle holster, vest pocket, etc...) I believe in always having two pistols on me and the Jetfire is so tiny and light, I can keep it anywhere.
Plus, Tamara has always been right about the Jetfire. Mine has never malfunctioned with any type of ammunition. Jetfires are great little pistols and the Silverwood grips are beautful.
