Where did this come from? Real Problem

Folks, I have something on my computer that I DID NOT PUT HERE!
There is an album on my Realjukebox that I have no idea of its origin...my ears can't even understand the words. It sounds like a cross between some heavy metal, that I don't listen to, and Pink Floyd's 'The Wall', only part of which I can tolerate.

Do you reckon it came with the Realjukebox??

Let me qualify this by the following:
1. I live alone.
2. No one else has EVER had access to my computer without my presence.
3. I don't drink or do drugs, so I have no lapses of unconsciousness.
4. I searched my CD's and I KNOW ALL the songs on ALL my CD's. (I have less than 25, but the range is far-reaching).
5. I know computers pretty well - 12 years in the business.

If it didn't download WITH the Realjukebox, I am now - worried.

Any input about my paranoia will be taken in humorous stride, as likely intended, but the matter is unfortunately true.

probably came with it, but check for cookies. Ask the vendor what came with the program.

Check with FUD - strange things are always happening to him, too.

I've been over 12 years in the computer industry, too. From what I've heard about Real Jukbox, anything could happen. They've probably uploaded your personal information already!

I suggest that you (1) release your IP address with winipcfg.exe in the Windows folder, and (2) get and use Zone Alarm and OptOut (http://www.grc.com ? ). If you do a search for it, you'll find it.

Don't be connected to the internet when you don't need to and you might consider backing up your data and reformatting your a hard drive.

Exactly what he said...

Uninstall RealJB. It has been linked to up and downloading exe and mpg, mp3 without your permission. It has also been demonstrated to upload your personal info and cookie inventory to RealJB and who knows who else. There are other CD Rippers and mp3 players out there. Real Juke should be boycotted because of their disregard to the right to privacy.

Thanks, guys. For a while I thought I may have blacked out. I have always made a habit of staying off the net when not doing something specific. And if anything is downloaded, I am very aware, but in this instance I just missed the boat.

I did listen closer to some of the music and it sounds like it may be some of the new Christian rock. IMO it sounds like the other stuff I can't understand.
