Seriously everyone needs to keep calm and settle down.. Before everything went down i had approx 5000 rounds of ammo, now i'm down to 4000.

I have vowed not to buy more until everything quiets down but i am in need of a simple 50 round box of .22WMR of Hornady Critical Defense...

I looked and looked and looooooked but either the wait is 4 weeks or sold out.. :barf::barf: anyone know of a place where i can still but ammo the "old fashioned way"?? I live in Northern Colorado

Thanks!

Good luck ... was visiting a friend in Buda and decided to drop in at the Cabela's there this morning ... good grief ... there were 50 people waiting in line to be helped at the gun counter; ammo was almost gone and there were half the normal number of handguns on display. Where they used to have endcaps overflowing with 9mm, .38 and .45, those shelves were stocking other items ... I got the LAST two boxes of .45 ACP on the shelves, pretty much the only items left were various iterations of .22 and oddball (no offense to fans) calibers like .38 Super and .41 magnum ... this I think is going to last a while, especially in light of Wally World halting ammo orders ... hope you stocked up before le deluge ...

PM sent.

You're right, everyone needs to chill. We're not making things better for ourselves.

Nothing is likely to get past the House, anyway- certainly nothing to do with ammunition. It's probably the guys that live in the nutjob states like NY that would take every law-abiding citizens guns and ammo, that are buying up everything.

I FINALLY found some FMJ 9mm plinking ammo- at the usual price- due to the fact that the dealer had the foresight to place one-case (10 boxes) limits on purchases.

If only all gun-related retailers had the fortitude to do that, we'd all still have something to shoot.

As soon as they started to see things go nutz, they should have placed reasonable sales limits on ammo, and all reloading components.

Guys have stocked up on enough ammo, powder and primers to last them for years.

Some here have called my a crybaby, because I didn't jump on the hoarding bandwagon in time.

Whatever... I could care less.

All I know is, I call it as I see it. Selfless hoarding has hurt many of us- including myself and my sons, as I'm still unable to find powder...try to find Varget, or H4350, anywhere...

Thanks for the PM TOBNPR, i put in an order for 2 boxes.. No hoarding BS for me either

Think of the Irony though.. A good all American industry (guns and ammo) got a major boost because of obama's stupid statements.. Mark my words, he will take credit for the jobs increase and economic impulse of the industry

Our big guns shop in the city still has plenty of everything except plinking .223. There is a limit on that.

Prices locally have increased 20-50% but are still cheaper than anywhere I can see on line. $25 for a brick of Federal .22? Welcome back to 2008. He is listing some stuff as "sold out" on his website but still has it on hand in the store. Smart, he can sell to customers who buy guns from him.

The itty bitty gun shop did not raise his prices or place limits. His prices are now cheaper than the big gun shop. He now has more ammo than walmart.
