Where can I send my 1911 barrel for a repark?

I buffed out the parkerized finish on my Springfield GI barrel a few years back when it started to show wear and now I'd like to have it redone.
Can anyone tell me where I might be able to send it out to have it re-parkerized?

I'm thinking it might be cheaper to just have someone else to do it rather than buy all the stuff for such a small part.
Besides, I want it to look nice.

There are many vendors who can parkerize guns and parts but on something like a 1911 barrel it will wear off very quickly. I either just polish the barrel surfaces that are visible or cold blue them and don't worry about it. Life is too short.

Yeah, I figured it would wear pretty fast.

I was just wondering if there's a parkerizing that might be more durable, or if I repeated the process and built up the finish, if that would help. I dunno.

The barrel on my Sig 1911-22 is black and it's holding up pretty good.
Looks to be some sort of duracoat.
Not sure that would hold up on my .45 though.

Also, what about parkerizing parts that are blued?
Would I need to remove all the blueing, or can I just degrease it?

You can only build up the finish so much. The barrel still needs to fit the bushing and the lugs still need to lock up.

Speaking of which ...
Unlike the barrel lug configuration on my Springfield, the Sig 1911-22 has pins and a screw that basically renders the barrel "fixed", which would explain why there's practically no wear. I guess I had a "senior moment".
