I have an opportunity to buy a k98 reciever with a Turkish bolt. I'd like to get the correct german bolt for this gun.
Should I worry about getting the right bolt or not?
If so where can I find one for sale?
Thanks

You can order one from AIM Surplus for $89.95. And it comes with a nice K98 rifle wrapped around it I noticed that my K98 and Turkish 1938 Mauser bolts are interchangeable (I was a little surprised). I don't plan to fire them with switched bolts and didn't check headspace, but the seem to fit and function fine. I'm not an expert on this, but I suspect that the Turkish actions (including bolts) were made elsewhere (probably Germany) and SOLD to Turkey. But that's just a guess.
