Where can I find custom made 1911 grips?

Years ago, in the G&A annual (1989 I think) there was ana article called "The Cult of the Colt". Accompanying the article were photos of several Colt 1911's. One of these pistols had ivory grips with black ravens etched on them. Any idea who would make something like that?
