Where can I find an inverted shoulder rig for my s&w j-frame? It is an upside down rig with a clamshell type retention system any help is great thanks.

You mean the Berns Martin type?

I don't think anyone is making anything exactly like that right now, but Galco made something similar. I don't know if it's still in production or not.

Ken Null makes two inverted shoulder rigs - one with a pull-through snap and one with a "twist" snap break. Both are synthetic, and can hide under a tail-out button-front sport shirt, if sized loosely and of fairly heavy fabric.
Lou Alessi makes another of leather, with a fine harness and thumb break holster - ammo pouch on the off-side tie-down that will fit a speed strip with only five rounds in it. Both the Null and Alessi rigs are comfortable, if worn over a shirt with a collar, or a crew-neck T shirt. With a normal, lose-necked T shirt they tend to ride up and irritate. With an adjustment for that, both are good all day rigs.

I just bought a Bianchi 9 R on EBAY. Check as there have been several in the last couple of months. Also check auctionarms.

Doesn't Alessi still make his with a pull through snap in the trigger guard instead of a thumb break...mine is that design and I love it...although it is 20 years old.....

Don't shoot, the only one I saw on the R&F site was thumb break. It is only made for the five-shooters now, although not too many years ago, it could be had for the Det. Spec., and K Frame snubs. Those may have been pull-through. I know that with something as light as a 640, there is no other shoulder rig as comfortable - absolutely NONE! I go to the Null when the humugidy and temp both hit 90 together, and things get sweaty.
