Where can I find a PC revolver?

I'm interested in getting a revolver and wanted to get a Performance Center revolver, probably a 627 3" v-comp. I've been to a number of gunshops/shows in dallas and austin, but haven't seen any. I'd like to try and at least handle one to see how they feel. Any one know where there is a store in central texas that may have one? Also, any opinions on the performance center guns? BTW, what is allowed in IDPA for revolvers? Thanks.

Already have been to auction arms and gunsamerica for pricing guidelines. Anybody in Central Texas have these beasts on display that you know of? Do they shoot well and does anybody know if they are IDPA legal?

As regards your question about being IDPA legal, here's a link to the equipment rulebook

Things to consider are:
1) 4 in. barrel max after October
2) you can use a 7/8 shot revolver, but can only put 6 rounds in it.
3) modifications such as porting aren't allowed.

I'm not an IDPA expert, so please double check all this.

S&W PC Revolver

Give S&W a call.. they will check which dealers they have shipped to recently and tell you so you can track down what you want.

They are very helpful... 800-331-0852

Thanks everybody!

Hadn't occurred to me to give S&W a call, thanks for the tip. Did get to McBride's in Austin. They had a 2" 627 PC I think it was for about $1050 (I think that's about $200 more than what I've seen on GunsAmerica). It did fit my hand very nicely, though. Well, gonna save up my pennies for my next purchase.
